As the non-face-to-face environment caused by COVID-19 has increased the growth rate of the PC market, sales of PC accessories such as mouse, keyboard, and mouse pad have also increased. With the increasing use of laptops, portability and cost-effectiveness have become important considerations. more consumers are experiencing carpal tunnel syndrome due to the increased hours spent using PCs for telecommuting and online classes. I aimed to develop a product that can help promote everyday body care, rather than requiring additional time for a medical device.

코로나19로 인한 비대면 환경이 PC 시장의 성장률울 높여 마우스, 키보드, 마우스패드와 같이 PC 주변 액세서리 판매량도 더불어 증가하였습니다. 노트북 사용량이 증가됨에 따라 휴대성, 가성비가 중요한 키워드로 자리 잡았습니다. 재택근무, 온라인 수업의 일상화로 PC 사용 시간이 늘어나게 되면서 손목터널 증후군을 호소하는 소비자는 증가했습니다. 별도의 시간을 할애하는 의료기기가 아닌 일상생활에서 신체를 케어할 수 있는 제품을 기획하고자 했습니다.

1. Ergonomic Design : Study the appropriate height and angle to position the wrist and finger at a similar height
2. Hygiene : Fabric and foam materials cause odor and mold because they cannot be cleaned.
3. Durability : When using gel material, wrist support bursts. White wear occurs on the wrist support when using fabric material.
4. Sensitivity : Study to enable accurate cursor positioning and smooth movement.
1. 인체공학적 설계 : 손목과 손가락이 비슷한 높이에 위치하도록 적절한 높이와 각도를 연구한다.
2. 위생 : 원단 및 폼 소재는 세척이 불가능하여 악취 및 곰팡이가 발생합니다.
3. 내구성 : 젤 소재를 사용할 경우 손목 지지대가 파열됩니다. 원단 소재 사용 시 손목 지지대에 흰색 마모가 발생합니다.
4. 감도 : 정확한 커서 위치 결정과 원활한 이동이 가능하도록 연구한다.

For hygiene and durability, I thought a lot about how to smoothly solve hard objects. I tried to develop a cushioning material by taking advantage of the fact that if the solid is emptied and divided into several pieces of foam, it becomes softer than before.
위생과 내구성을 위해 단단한 물체를 어떻게 하면 부드럽게 풀 수있을까 많은 고민을 했습니다.
솔리드의 속을 비우고 여러개의 살대로 나누게 되면 기존 대비 부드러워 진다는 것을 활용하여 쿠션재를 개발하고자 했습니다.

The resilience of the cushion is determined by the length of the pieces on the left and right sides. To support the wrist stably, the length of the pieces towards the wrist becomes shorter. This was simulated and verified through prototypes to conform to the shape of the human wrist.
살대의 좌우 길이로 인해 쿠션의 복원력이 결정되었습니다. 손목을 안정적으로 지지하기 위해 손목 부분으로 갈수록 살대의 좌우 길이가 짧아지는 형태로 디자인했습니다. 사람의 손목의 형태에 맞게 변형될 수 있도록 시뮬레이션과 프로토타입을 통해 검증했습니다.

The durability of the product was confirmed through repeated load tests.

반복 하중 테스트를 통해 제품의 내구성을 확인하였습니다.

I designed a product that utilizes curves to fit the brand identity and developed durable cushioning materials that gather curves and smoothly deform to fit the wrist.
브랜드 아이덴티티에 맞도록 커브를 활용한 제품을 디자인했으며 유기적인 커브가 모여 손목에 맞춰 부드럽게 변형되는 내구성이 강한 쿠션재를 개발했습니다.

2.5cm height has been designed to ensure that the finger and wrist form a straight line,
and a comfortable angle of 20 degrees for the wrist has been applied.

2.5cm의 높이는 손가락과 손목이 일직선을 이루도록 하며 손목이 편안할 수 있는 20도의 각도가 적용되었습니다.

The product is available in four colors: black, orange, navy, and gray.

제품은 블랙 오렌지 네이비 그레이 4가지 색상으로 구성되어있습니다.

The product features a smooth surface for the mouse to move easily. The surface material is also washable and can be cleaned with water, which helps prevent contamination from spills like coffee.

마우스가 부드럽게 움직일 수 있는 시트를 사용했습니다. 물에 세척이 가능하여 커피 같은 액체를 흘렸을 때 오염을 방지할 수 있습니다.

I have designed the main pad and portable pad to be interchangeable depending on the type of pad desired by the consumer. The portable pad, which can minimize its volume when moving, can be used in spaces such as cafes with narrow tables.
소비자가 원하는 패드의 타입에 따라 메인 패드와 휴대용 패드 교체가 가능하도록 설계하였습니다. 재택근무가 증가함에 따라 집이나 카페 같은 공간에서 작업을 하게 되는 경우가 많아졌습니다. 휴대용 패드는 이동 시 부피를 최소화할 수 있으며 테이블이 좁은 카페 같은 공간에서 사용할 수 있습니다.
