TIBCO is an enterprise software organization with a global presence and a vast number of employees. The company has extensive design, engineering, and product development departments. However, ensuring cohesion, consistency, speed, and scalability can be challenging without a well-defined design system.
Designing UIs for enterprise products is an exciting endeavor, despite its complexity and challenges. Given the sheer size and competitiveness of enterprise projects, organizations must streamline their design workflows to minimize costs and bring their products to market as quickly as possible. Developing a design system for a multinational company requires close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, working closely together to achieve a cohesive and effective system.
My responsibilities included creating some of the more complex UI components, developing responsive guidelines with a particular focus on mobile patterns, main designer to set up design tokens as foundations for our design decisions, templates, themes, and Light and Dark Mode.
