Tin-Tin is a Vietnamese bar-restaurant located in the very center of Kyiv. The restaurant bar is opposite one of the oldest bike paths in Europe, built in 1913. After the renovation of the cycle track in 2017, this place has become one of the most popular spaces for cyclists. The restaurant is conducive to the contemplation of eternally cruising athletes and encourages cycling adventures. We used the street vocabulary to show the culture in Vietnam close to the cycling environment.

Tin-Tin’s interior design includes rickshaws that become cozy sofas, billboards containing artwork, outdoor signage with branded logos, and graphic wall posters of Vietnam’s imaginary cities.

The restaurant was made from a combination of transparency effects and lighting scenography. The idea was to connect the street with the interior and bring some elements of the urban environment inside. On the interior façade, the architect placed vegetation to protect the interior from excessive sunlight while retaining much of its transparency. The lighting concept creates a warm atmosphere and gives warm reflections to the area around the restaurant.
