Working with young people from Royal T Dance Company, at Arnold Hill Academy, a series of macro videos were filmed, of dancer's hands and arms.  These created dramatic gestures which were then edited down into small loops.

The image above shows stills taken from VJ Workshops with young people, where participants took the raw footage of macro bodyparts and manipulted them live.  Mirroring and re-colour effects were used to create an interesting and effective look.
Over the period of a weeks summer school, the project worked with young people with complex needs to create a series of short animations, which were added into the final piece.  Experimenting with 35mm slides, the group painted, re-painted, scratched and corroded slides which were then placed into a slide projector and photographed.  The photographs were made into short animated loops, which add texture and pace to the final piece.
The final visual loops were used to create a live visual mix to a performance by Royal T Dance Company at The Playhouse, Nottingham and The Palace Theater, Mansfield.  The piece was choreographed to the music made in the audio production workshops.
