The money collected through this exchange will be used to purchase future grains and pulses by the group itself. Also, during every season, at the time of harvest, the members of the group would go on a mobilization drive (rally) to collect grains from every household as per their capacity and desire. This rally also helps mobilize more people and spread awareness about the bank in Bedada and the surrounding villages. Some vegetables are also collected, so that the beneficiaries would get access to nutritious vegetables apart from pulses. Moreover, there are families who would voluntarily come to the grain bank to donate some grains and pulses (local indigenous varieties).
