DESIGN MATTERS: THE DOCUMENTARY
TITLE SEQUENCE
Title sequence for the final project from my Design In Motion module. Design Matters: The Documentary is a pseudo film that is based on Debbie Millman's live radio series (Design Matters) and her book, How to Think Like a Great Graphic Designer.
The brief for this project was to use After Effects to create, an opening title sequence for a movie based on any book of our choice. Because "How to Think Like a Great Like a Great Graphic Designer" is a book about capturing the honest thoughts and experiences of famous designers, the concept was to capture the process of design. The sequence is essentially the design process of an invite card for a pseudo talk show that eventually becomes the film this title sequence is intended for.
This behind-the-scenes like approach gives us a glimpse of what goes on behind the finished product just as the book gives us an idea of the inner fears and concerns of the 21 designers featured within.
