Woody Allen is known for his comic presence with plots touching on evil, death, God, and existential philosophy in his early work. My goal was to capture this feeling through one of his early works, Manhattan Murder Mystery. By revolving around the film's whimsical comic suspense I was able to come up with the idea of The New York Times' crossword puzzle being the focus of the print material. Both are interactive, The poster allowing the audience find the director, producer, and actors among the poster and the DVD allowing the audience to follow along to solve the mystery that the movie portrays.
