Why Binder?
The term binder surfaced in user research as a tool that parents currently use in their attempt to assemble and manage content from the medical professionals who play a role in their child’s health.
A binder might also be found in the office of a doctor or a therapist to store physical files of a patient’s medical history for reference. Simply put, a binder is an object that people are familiar with. People understand it’s basic functionality without explanation.

The Binder experience values three-way communication. It allows for multiple medical professionals from different practices to communicate and collaborate around a child with special needs. While Binder is a place to communicate, it is also a place to record and track details such as progress, medical history, and medications for access by those who are making pivotal medical decisions for a child.
Binder, the digital experience, facilitates three-way communication. A binder, as a physical object, consists of three rings. The design of the logo reflects this connection.
