Living The Basket Lyfe

As a bicycle commuter for almost ten years now, there's nothing like hopping on your bike home after being cooped up in the office the whole day. It helps to center and calm the riot of the introverted brain, I feel. Especially on a clear, sunny late afternoon, when the sun hits a particular way that it casts a golden hue on leaves of trees that I ride by on my usual route. A thing of beauty that is not lost on me.

I dedicate this artwork to the bikey people (that includes motorcycles and PMDs etc) that hustle through all kinds of weather to put food on the table (theirs and other people's). Putting themselves as vulnerable road users to earn a living. Not knowing if they get to come back home that day as they pedal away.

Also, I dedicate this artwork to the true, pure souls - who did not sell off their bikes when the borders started re-opening. Ha!
