Dynamo; an energetic, hardworking and forceful person. Other synonyms include fireball, hot shot, and eager beaver.

For Flagler College's 2023 Design Week, Dynamo represents the diligent, energized, and talented designers that represent the creative community. This poster will be displayed in the Brown Innovation Center for Design Week 2023 and be viewable for passing students and staff. During Design Week, students can participate in workshops, get to know knowledgeable visitors, and serve on juries.

The beginning process started with the creation of "Deuce"; a typeface created to represent the dynamic movement of a tennis ball. To merge the tone of Deuce and translate that into the Design Week poster, I needed to sketch out ideas for the poster composition. I wanted a dynamic feel and ultimately landed on a flexible pose of a tennis player reaching for the winning shot. However, the poster needed to be related to Design Week, so instead of a tennis racket, the body is pointing at the logo to emphasize the event. The entirety of the composition is to feel that rush and excitement that is translated into design. With the colorful, bolded, and different size text, the viewer should be able to feel the playfulness and excitement that's associated with the design community.
