As a leader in the Out Of Home (OOH) technology, Horizon Media created a media lab housing the top twelve newest and most innovative OOH technologies (interactive flat screen devices for public arenas, including everything from gas pumps to sports bars to airplane seatbacks). We were challenged to create an interactive app which augments the in-lab experience, serves as an experience onto itself, and serves as a teaching tool for sales teams to uncover possibilities for their clients with these OOH technologies. 

 

To make things even more interesting, this app had to mold content dependent upon user preference. Some users were interested in technical device data and others were interested in ways to connect with specific target audiences – both desereved a seperate narratives. From content depth to interactive development, this is one densly-packed beast. User Interface design was crucial, and aesthetic alignment with the tech-savvy concept meant UX had to be effortless.  

 

Additionally, we took Horizon Media through the process of becoming an Apple-sanctioned Enterprise Deployment company, allowing them discrete control over the release and control of this proprietary app. 

The result of our efforts is Voyager, the media industry’s first integrated tour guide and OOH sales tool as a stand-alone iPad app.
