The goal of this project was to achieve a serious and subtle approach to a specially delicate case of intervention. Designing for a public place like a library demands some thought, and so I tried to make a brand that's sober, discreet, but still strong. The library's architecture, by the portuguese architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, was the main inspiration for the logotype. Here is the main logotype, the website, the stationery simulations and some spreads from the identity manual. I also designed a bookmark for the institution, offered when requesting a book, that reminds the user to return the book on its due date.
