VILDE Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter

Vilde — concept and design for a unisex fragrance. Fictitious design work produced in 2014 at a Graphic design course at Malmö University. The assignment involved developing a concept for a perfume and come up with a name and packaging. The perfume was to be linked to your choice of brand and target group.

The idea was to create a perfume created from only natural ingredients. To emphasize the character of nature I chose to create perfumes for different seasons—hence the Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter editions. The different editions follow the seasonal vegetation. The seasonal concept also gave me the opportunity to create a strong connection to the fashion world and in a natural way make it a part of the brand.

The name Vilde means ”Savage” in Swedish. It represents the natural ingredients of the product, as well as something about the person using it. My choice of brand was Filippa K, a Scandinavian fashion brand. The perfume is directed to an aware audience that, in line with Filippa K’s vision, has requirements for quality, sustainability and usability.

The illustrations are made with ink, created to communicate the two editions different characters. The illustrations are meant to create curiosity for nature and get the user to reflect over the connection between nature, the seasons and the scent.
