INGEGNO MAQUETTE
A water collection system in the moat of the Castello Sforzesco in Milan
The project consisted in developing an exhibition space for Leonardo Da Vinci's Trivulzianus Codex in the Castello Sforzesco, located in the heart of Milan, Italy. In order to honour Da Vinci's work as a hydrologist the project was developed in the Castle's moat, revitalizing it by creating a rainwater collection system.
PROCESS:
The model was made in white cardboar of 1mm thickness. To increase precision the pieces where planned singularly and cut with an automatized blade.
To create a differentiation between the Castle and the rest, the walls and roofs were covered in hammered paper to give it a noticeable texture.
To value and enhance the presence of water a grey cardboard was added in the main surfaces of water collection.
