Hustle and bustle in a cyberpunk town.
In today's world, the visual style of cyberpunk has become very popular. Paradoxically, it is much more attractive than futuristic utopias with flowing lines in architecture. In fact, most people would probably like to live in an ideal and fair world of the future, not in a world with huge social stratification, the dictatorship of multinational corporations, even with high technology, which is the world of cyberpunk.
But then why is the visual style of cyberpunk so appealing, given all its shortcomings?
Perhaps it is our human pessimism and hope at the same time. We are all desperate for a future, even one as dystopian as cyberpunk. And yet there is a certain charm to this style, a dystopian allure that keeps many people returning to it in their minds, returning to films and games made in this genre.
I was inspired by movies like Upgrade, Blade Runner, the Alien/Prometheus universe, Terminator, and the game Cyberpunk 2077.
