Adobe Typeface Advertisement
Created with Adobe Mrs. Eaves XL
I learned so much about the importance of typographic style and design in the marketing and advertisement world. Each step of this process was crucial to creating something that fulfilled the requirements of the project, was aesthetic to the viewer, caught your attention and displayed the versatility of this typeface. I arranged my composition to promote an asymmetrical balance. For example, the abundance of text at the bottom with more negative space around the top and the title being aligned to the right side helped me to avoid a static feeling. I also included the circle shapes in the background to create some variety with the angular spaces of text. I also decided to go with this color scheme because the value contrast really helps to create a good focal point within the composition which could help separate it from the other advertisements that may be seen while browsing. Some may ask why I chose colors that were less 'feminine', but I think it adds to the display of versatility available within this typeface, which after all, is one of the reasons why it was reconstructed from the original typeface, Mrs. Eaves.
