To rediscover the art of Lino-cutting, i decided to pick a letter at random and illustrate it with a word. This word is in relation to the musical sphere.
The letter i ending up being assigned with is the letter « K ».
Furthermore, i was asked to privilege a song title or a specific artist to render the project more personal and to be able to add my own creative touch whilst telling a story.
The word must appear in my design.
The idea was to think outside of the box, to create a striking image that could be use as a sort of « logo » in itself, something strong, independant of fashions and trends, something lasting. The illustration needed to be approached as a possible poster, a stencil, a visual that could be used and adapted to things like t-shirts and other media.
