EVBox
- Rebrand to enter the next chapter in electric mobility
The electric car industry is rapidly evolving, and companies are constantly striving to remain competitive by improving their products and services. 
This transition has compelled EVBox to look inward: if they are to truly lead this movement into the future, they must adapt as well.

Therefore they recently underwent a branding evolution, including a new logo and color palette which reflects the company’s new generation of all-in-one products and services

They approached Woodwork to help bring this new identity to life through motion design. 
We were tasked with creating design and animation that would capture the essence of EVBox's new brand identity.


Approach

We started by teasing the branding with a visual language based on the lines, curves, and colors of the new EVBox logo. By carefully examining the shapes and colors used in the logo, the team developed a visual language that would align with the new branding. 

EVBox’s flagship products were the inspiration for the shapes of the new logo, which in turn inspired the visual motion language we created. 
We tease the logo using the slants and angles of the V which conveys the idea of forward momentum. 

Editing the visual language elements with 3D rendered shots of their flagship products helped to create a cohesive story in their branding.



'A new electrifying look and feel'


Development

Throughout the project, we worked closely with EVBox to ensure that the design and animation accurately reflected the origins and decisions behind their new identity. 

By asking questions and digging deep, our team was able to understand the brand on a deeper level, allowing them to translate the brand characteristics into design and animation.

The brand video is structured around their brand characteristics; Be bold, Think sophisticated, and Keep it simple. These are translated into motion design to give each characteristic their own personality, pacing and feel.

The new brand colors are inspired by the brand’s hardware. Putting the emphasis on green, being a nod to their company purpose of ‘powering our sustainable future’.
We visualized the connection and harmony between the brand’s new color palette to their existing line of hardware in animation.



In the development phase, Woodwork utilized various techniques to create an engaging and visually appealing experience for viewers. We incorporated animation, sound, and video to bring the new identity to life. 

The team developed methods to tease, reveal, and present the new identity to both internal and external audiences. By doing so, they were able to showcase the new brand identity in a way that was both engaging and memorable.
