Sally Mann: What Remains
This documentary about the life of Sally Mann and her passion for photography was fascinating. The way she approaches photography is so avant-garde, that it really challenged and motivated me to look at photography through a different lens. Mann as a photographer is so comfortable with themes that are taboo such as nudity and death. She seems so comfortable with herself and very conscious that she is part of nature and the world. She uses her talent to show the world how ordinary moments can be beautiful, and how there's something captivating and thought-provoking in the things we tend to turn away from.
