'Memories Are Made of This'
'An experimental promenade performance including 70 performers from Music in the Community, Graphic Design (ECA), Digital Design and Media at the University of Edinburgh, children from Hermitage Park Primary School. An exploration in sound of the The False Memory Archive exhibition by artist Alasdair Hopwood.'
The initial images where created by projecting a photograph through clear plastic boxes (that were to be used at the event). These were then going to be overlaid with text i.e. date, time to create A5 flyers. But I found that when magnified and isolated it created this hazy, distorted view of the photograph which reflected the idea of 'false memories' more convincingly. My agency specified that they wanted a variation of flyers that could be distributed coming up to the event.
