Facebook personalization

My project from 2 years ago...Here I reimagined a Facebook feature that will allow users to personalize their user interface with wallpapers.
Enjoy the UX case study.
Introduction
I had a personal project to design a new feature for Facebook that allows users to customize their interface with user or Facebook-generated wallpapers and themes. The feature aimed to improve customer retention by providing users with the ability to personalize their user interface.
Problem Statement
Facebook is a social media platform with over 2 billion monthly active users. While the platform provides users with the ability to express themselves through their posts and interactions, the user interface is relatively uniform and lacks personality. Users have always desired the ability to personalize their interface with their unique wallpapers, themes, and colors. The lack of personalization options on Facebook has led to user fatigue and, in some cases, decreased usage. The new feature aimed to address this problem by providing users with the ability to customize their interface, thereby improving customer retention.
Research
To design this new feature, I conducted extensive user research, which included surveys, interviews, and competitor analysis. The research revealed that users desire the ability to personalize their user interface to express their personalities, interests, and preferences. Users also desired a wide range of wallpaper and theme options to choose from, including both user-generated and Facebook-generated options. Competitor analysis revealed that other social media platforms had yet to incorporate similar features, and Facebook needed to grasp the first mover advantage.
Design
Based on the research findings, I designed a feature that would enable users to customize their interface while maintaining the platform's simplicity and ease of use. The feature would be accessible from the settings menu, where users could select a new wallpaper or theme for their interface.
The design included two options for wallpaper and theme selection: user-generated and Facebook-generated. Users could upload their photos and graphics for use as wallpapers and themes or choose from a selection of Facebook-generated options. The design aimed to provide users with a range of options to choose from to suit their personal preferences.
Implementation
During the implementation phase, I will work closely with a developer(of course !) to ensure that the feature is fully functional and stable. The implementation will be a success.
Evaluation
To evaluate the feature's success, I conducted surveys and analyzed user engagement metrics. The surveys revealed that users were pleased with the new feature and that it will  significantly improved their experience on the platform. User engagement metrics, such as time spent on the platform and the number of daily active users, will show a positive trend.
Conclusion
The new Facebook feature that allows users to customize their interface with user or Facebook-generated wallpapers and themes has the potential to be a significant success. The feature provides users with a wide range of personalization options and has the potential to improve customer retention on the platform. The success of the feature is a testament to the importance of user research in the design process and the need for platforms to continually evolve to meet user needs. While the feature is still a personal project, I believe that it has the potential to improve the user experience on Facebook significantly.
