Leeds Arts University is the only specialist arts university in the North of England. Their culture is that of a creative community - supportive and open to new ideas, progression and experimentation. Their staff are engaged with the creative and cultural industries. They are a small and friendly specialist arts university based in Leeds.

For this brief we were asked to ‘design the concept for the annual End of Year shows which take place in June and September 2023’. 

The briefing explained that the concept should reflect the essence and purpose of the show - to showcase the hard work and talent of the students. The competition entries should be innovative and have a strong visual identity. They should be creative and eye-catching.

Our target audience for this module is: 
- Local feeder schools, teachers and pupils
- College students, parents, staff, and management
- Prospective students
- General public in Leeds/Yorkshire
- Alumni
- Local artists
and
- Creative industry professionals and businesses.

As explained to us, the project is a large and exciting one that requires professionalism and an understanding of how to respond innovatively to a creative brief, the project offers significant publicity and is likely to appear in regional and national press.

The only restrictions we had for this brief are that the Leeds Arts University logo must be visible on every design and the concept must be flexible to use across print and digital. 

The concept may be used across private view emails, online graphics for websites and social media channels, print and digital adverts, A0 posters, exhibition guides and external signage.
