In a winter workshop at Chitkara Design School, I got to learn sound design from Aditya Ray, who is an audio engineer, music producer, and sound designer. We talked about sound design and its application in cinema, took 'sound walks', and actually started listening rather than hearing. 

Here is a soundscape we made by the end of the course. It is made majorly with foley sounds recorded using field recorders and some online resources. I mixed the soundscape along with my teammates Pranav Mishra, Prince John, Kuhu Sharma, and Yakshika Sabharwal.

Our brief was to depict a story through a soundscape, it could be a simple daily task like waking up and doing the daily chores or something very crazy like you are going to listen. Just put on your headphones, close your eyes, and let yourself be transported into our world of sound.

We created a dark and immersive setting in a room with multiple laptops, headphones, and blindfolds. People came to experience our soundscape, and we assisted them in sitting down and tying on the blindfolds. They really enjoyed the whole experience, and seeing their reactions made all of our efforts worth it.
