Falmouth University approached us to develop a visual identity and materials to publicise their Degree Shows of 2014. We aimed to convey that they are proud to now be a University and get people to join them in celebration of their graduating students.
As we are both Graphic Design graduates of the University we felt it very important to try and represent the University through our experiences as Falmouth Alumni. While interviewing students we kept getting the same answer, how everyone love's the University and Falmouth itself. As a University away from the city and in such a beautiful geographical location we felt it needed to be conceptually symbolised with a sense of discovery, beauty and creativity.
The idea to take the iconic ‘F’ of the brand to symbolise the establishment through a light source. A source of light to guide the journey of its students and creatives. The artwork aims to be mysterious and leave you wanting to visit the Falmouth University Degree Shows almost like a late night West End Show, a poster campaign leaving you intrigued.
We have included some of our process and test shots to show how we created the artwork through light painting.
