Business Card Innovation

A new innovation has emerged in the design of business cards. These cards are a few examples of some of our recent duplex and triplex business card jobs (thick business cards). We all know that competition between companies is stronger than ever. A business card is often the first thing another person will see and its vital that it gives a good, long lasting impression. We have witnessed this first hand by the amount of duplex and triplex inquiries we have been receiving into creating thicker business cards.
So what does duplex/triplex mean exactly?

Its all about layers! In basic terms it’s the process of bonding two boards together to create a thicker board. Duplexing involves combining two layers and triplexing three. We have even recently achieved combining FOUR sheets together, which is called quadplexing. These methods all create very thick business cards.

Why would you use this technique on a product?

The layers add a new depth to the thick business card and it immediately stands out from others and the added thickness creates a product of higher quality and exclusivity. Enhance the design of the card further by using foiling, die stamping & die cutting processes. It doesn’t just have to be for business cards either; you can also use duplexing for invitations. The possibilities are endless!

For our bespoke specialist printing services we offer:
foil blocking, embossing, thermography, duplexing, triplexing, watermarked paper and much more.
Please call me Tim Solway for advice on the best process to move your design from the screen to the printed sheet.
