For shoot 1 I planned to sit at the bus stop in Stafford to take photographs of the buses and people around the bus stop. I tried to focus on the 101 but I also took photographs of the other buses at the bus stop to experiment with how I want to photographs the buses. For this I sat at the bust stop opposite the one where the 101 passes through so the people at the bus stop were the ones getting on the 101, this meant I could get some working images from this shoot, even if I was just experimenting with this shoot as my first. I tried to get some close up shots of the buses passing through the bus stop as well as some from further away and then the same for the people at the bus stop as well.

I did ask a few people at the bus stops if I could take photographs of people at the bus stop however no one said yes so I couldn't get any close up portraits of anyone at the bus stop, so I just had to try and take some from far away which worked okay but I didn't manage to achieve what I wanted too in the shoot. 

This is my favourite working image from my first shoot, I like the composition of this image as you can see the people waiting for the bus as well as some people getting on the bus, the sign of the bus root in the middle is also crumpled up and falling off which I feel makes the image more interesting. I think with this photograph I could have cut off some of the road at the bottom of the image as it takes up quite a bit of the image where as I feel as though it would have been better if I had included more of the background of the trees and the sky.

This is also one of my working images as I like how it focuses on one person waiting for the bus and you cant see anyone else in the photograph which allows you to just focus on one person. This is something that I want to focus on more in my future shoots on the bus and from the bus stop.

Overall I believe that this is a good start to my final project as my initial photographs do show the idea and concept of my project, I think that I needed to focus more on the people at the bus stop then the buses themselves, this is something that I can hopefully develop on further down the line in my next shoots and do some more research around photographers who focus on people and there expressions in life.
