Mother’s Day was first celebrated in the US in 1908. A woman named Anna Jarvis commemorates this day to honour her mother. Anna had a memorial for her mother, Ann Reese Jarvis, who was a peace activist. Anna wanted to honour her mother because she believed that Mother is ‘the person who has done more for you than anyone in the world’.
Mother’s Day is an occasion celebrated in different parts of the world to express respect, honour, and love towards mothers.
