The Royal Oak is one of the most iconic timepieces. Designed by the genius of watch design, Gérald Genta, in the 70's on an urgent recall from Audemars Piguet to develop an entire new diver watch design. Inspired by the old diving dress, specially the helmet, Genta came up with an octagonal bezel that would become a remarkable signature of the new watch.
Many versions were made, and I must say, it takes boldness to even try make some small modifications on this iconic watch design, but this redesign is intended to give a cleaner and smoother look on the bezel, removing the screws, and some modifications on the wristband, hands, indexes, pushers and the dial pattern.
