2022 CRAYOLA ALTERNATIVE Alebrijes in extinction[ENG]
In Mexico, deforestation and illegal hunting have brought thousands of animal species to the brink of extinction. For this reason, we took advantage of one of its iconic symbols of protection "the alebrijes" to convey the message of care for them. We presented alebrijes sculptures formed by endangered species and left a percentage unpainted to represent the low numbers of animals still present in Mexico.

En México, la deforestación y la caza ilegal han llevado a miles de especies de animales al borde de la extinción. Por eso, aprovechamos uno de sus icónicos símbolos de protección "los alebrijes" para trasladar el mensaje del cuidado hacia ellos. Presentamos esculturas de alebrijes formadas por especies en peligro de extinción y dejamos un porcentaje sin pintar en representación de las bajas cifras de animales que aún están presentes en México.
