Formentera in patterns
I December 2022 I went on a trip to the beautiful Spanish island of Formentera. Its abundance of natural landscapes and details made it such a rich source of inspiration ā all the more enjoyable by travelling there off season, when we had many of these natural treasures to ourselves.
Here's a collection of 13 patterns inspired by subtle details of the island, from its beaches, flora and lichen, to its architectural features like rooftops, stools and window textures.Ā
Every pattern was drawn by hand, one line at a time, before being scanned and edited in Photoshop.
