Client Objective:
As part of his vision toward a reading nation, Ahmad Al Shughairi wants to start a public library chain around the Middle East, starting with the Gulf Region.

1. Promote the Islamic nation as the number one reading nation.
2.The library series will have a common brand and identity that holds common values in all branches.

Precedents suggest that a library should be a sacred place isolated from the noise of the city; hence, creating an exclusive environment for the patrons to realize the value of where they are. I also borrowed some elements that will enhance my design in a significant way.
As shown in the plan, it’s an open rounded plan with a ‘heart’ in the centre. The learning spiral is the main feature of the library where are the books are placed in a continuous spiral manner. The walls are thick because the books shelves are integrated in the architecture itself.

Kids areas is a fun, interactive and learning space where they not only color and draw to develop stimulation, but also be able to make 3d objects out of their drawings.
The library is quite neautral, so i wanted to add some vibrant colors to break the coldness of neutral colors, and my palette was inspired from the andalusi ambience, which is a harmonious combination of warm and cool colors
Pen is the very first object that God has created. Hence, God is swearing by the pen, showing the significance and divinity of this object
Noon is a big project, it’s a branded library around the middleeast; hence, there wil be a website and mobile applications to connect people together. Different logo variations can be used for different sections on the website, or mobile apps or any ‘section’ or ‘component’ in the library
