KNOT - KNOT knot furniture

KNOT-KNOT 是一個將繩結技巧應用在現代傢俱結構的計畫。遠在榫卯、鐵釘、螺絲和膠被發明之前的時代，人們使用麻繩將木頭綁固在一起作為組裝方式，並以適當的繩結確保結構的穩固。而現在，KNOT KNOT 利用高強度的傘繩，使用同樣的古老繩結將它們繫在鑽孔拋光不鏽鋼管結構上，製作出一系列包括邊桌、凳子和衣架等傢俱。這個計畫結合了古老的技術和現代的材料，讓繩結重新成為傢俱的一部分，同時也成為視覺上的焦點。

KNOT KNOT is a contemporary furniture design project that incorporates the traditional art of knot tying. In prehistoric times, wooden structures were tied together with hemp ropes and knots to ensure stability, before the introduction of modern fasteners. KNOT KNOT employs durable paracords and ancient knotting techniques to secure them onto sleek stainless steel tube structures. This results in a collection of furniture, including side tables, stools, and coat racks. The project combines old techniques with modern materials, providing a renewed appreciation for knot-tying in furniture design, while also serving as a captivating visual centerpiece.

PROTOTYPING

初期以鐵絲和PE圓管進行結構連接的方法。造型確定後，以水管彎管與鋁管金屬加工測試結構穩定度。

In the initial stage, iron wire and PE round pipes were used for structural ideas and testing. After the shape was determined, water pipe bends and aluminum pipes were processed for structural testing.
