Today fashion is less about looks and actually making a fashion statement.
By statement today we mean when it's impactful.
I think we live in a world where even fashion needs to be telling a story or atleast showcasing how it doesn’t have any rules and fashion is a choice.

The Concept of my painting derived from the same idea of fashion in combination with art and exclusivity in fashion around the world. Very evident in society today that fast fashion, general fashion is only associated with women. Men are not allowed to dress up; they are only allowed to dress down.

I Was inspired by the singer Harry style and his photo shoot with vogue where he wore a blue and black dress(image 1). Which really is like protesting against these gender norms, and how clothes shouldn’t define a man’s masculinity. Colors are free for all. Pink isn’t just for girls. Blue isn’t just for boys. Styles mentions “I’m discovering how much better it makes me feel to be open with friends,”  “Feeling that vulnerability, rather than holding everything in.”

Personally,my artwork is a representation of my childhood memories of how I would always imagine a fairy, a helping hand in a female position. Anyone nurturing and kind in fairy tales are mostly women. And femininity is made about being female. While its a characteristic in men too and they should flaunt it too. This artwork represents the same idea of men being able to flaunt their wings of femininity.

Lastly I saw the growth of my own personal thoughts while growing up and the change of perception. Due to the global increase of openness in fashion for men and women.
