Creative Direction - Copy & Art Direction
• Writes for a wide variety of projects including merchandise promotions, new-feature
announcements, banner ads, scripts and event signage
• Understands the business strategy and objectives of each project as defined by the brief and effectively translate them into consumer-facing copy that compels the reader to act
• Participates in brainstorms and proactively offer up ideas
• Collaborates effectively with on & offsite design teams
• Leads product design and user experience teams with clear, compelling copy for UI and instructional designs
• Leads social and PR teams with integrating messaging into current and ongoing
campaigns
• Understands different humor styles and where they appropriately fit
• Capable of articulating ideas and presenting work to executives and peers
• Has the ability to identify and deliver the appropriate tone for each assignment, from
conversational to informative to playful to sober
• Skilled at writing intuitive and efficient microcopy that fits into very tight spaces
• Develops calls to action that are both effective and restrained
• Self-prioritizes work with tact and efficiency to meet deliverables
• Possess strong attention to detail as well as copy-editor-level knowledge of the rules of grammar and punctuation
