Above is a piece of music I made to use for a short film that I also directed, shot and edited, you will be able to find the film below.
Above is the short film I shot, edited and auditorily produced. Pulling inspiration from 20th century experimental and surrealist films like 'Meshes of the Afternoon'. I created the score after shooting the film so I could use the shots to influence myself and try to convey the perfect sound to portray the films gloomy/horror nature.
A song that I have produced using the DAW 'FL Studios 20'. To create it I layered roaring synths that I had created in the plugin 'Serum'. Serum is perfect for creating any sound/synth you want, I find the possibilities to be endless. Another plugin I utilised was 'Gross Beat' which is a plugin that comes pre downloaded with FL Studios, I find it to be one of my favourite plugins due to the variation it can give to certain sounds.
The artist Salem inspired my use of the synths in this song in particular, I love what happens to the range of the sound as you start to layer them.
As I have previously stated the main DAW I tend to use is FL Studio 20, I find it to be an intuitive software that does everything I need it to do. I do however intend to start using the DAW Ableton to push the boundaries of my music production and I will continue to use it if I find it better than FL Studios.
I believe my interest in IT has helped my endeavours in musical production as I have an overall understanding of varied software's furthermore, in 2019 I built my own PC and my BTEC in Information Technology solidified my knowledge in the field.
As I have grown up in a household where music is very important, it was inevitable that I would eventually experiment with creating my own. I have dabbled in playing instruments like the piano, guitar and ukulele. This has also helped me ensure my current music is sonically correct for example keeping sounds in the correct key and bpm.

Here are a some pages I have scanned from my sketchbook. Throughout this sketchbook in particular I am trying to find new ways to be expressive using jagged forms, intense mark making with the intention to extend a few of these ideas into fully fledged projects.
A few influences I have found are gothic architecture, cybersigilism and the idea of manipulating 3D shapes
