Nissan/Infiniti reStore Redesign

Nissan/Infiniti reStore Redesign & Rebrand
Client: Nissan & Infiniti via TradeMotion Inc.

Required to support IE 8

Date: Jan 2014 to April 2014

Challenge/Goal:  Improve the search cababilities and layout arrangement for meeting the expectations of a "do-it-yourselfer" (non automotive industry expert) to find the best match for their vehicle, while maintaining many years of robust, business-logic  functionality already established with Nissan.

Solution: This iteration tackled the breadth of the site: from logging in, searching and final checkout specific redesign focused on a new and simplified global search, finding and reducing the margin of errors for choosing the best match for a specific vehicle. Features added were a new search panel to remind users of their configured vehicle and attributes, faceted navigation for traversing a vehicle's Part Group (a heirarchically and categorically stacked list of all the parts in a vehicle), ample use of tool tips for industry-centric terms, side by side comparison columns and the proposal to develop global and contextual help pages, containing industry standard terms and help videos.

Role: Lead UX/UI, Interaction Design, Visual Designer, Graphic Artist - Reorginization of Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Visual Design.
