The project was to design 10 pages of a sports magazine. I took ESPN featuring basketball for teh love of the sport I have. The task included conceptualise and visualize 10 layouts of the magazine by picking up actual content from the existing magazine. The challenge was in the composition and how creative you can depict information when it comes to scoreboards and comparison between two teams. Over all the page have to look beautiful keeping in mind of layout and principles like readability, leagibility, engagement, focus for eye movement. The graphics were thought flashy and the game itself carries the bling with it. When it comes to players and teams, the game is very fast and bright colors all around. I worked on teh magazine layout thinking on the lines of a basketball court, treating the art canvas as one. The use of typography was sporty, strong and loud. I used big typefaces for the bold and strong nature of basketball players. The assignment was a mix of learning of layout, print and production.
