Sentiments Of Old Cairo

Inspired from the Living Stones of Cairo by Jaroslaw Dobrowolski , My project is an attempt to reflect the magical and exquisite art of Islamic architecture of old period through modern illustration technique with the basic freehand sketchs using pen and ink, The sketches presents the monuments of Islamic architecture based in Cairo , the city of 1000 minarets with a magnificent attachment to a historical prosperity .

Mosque and mausoleum of Sultan Qansuh al-Ghuri , Old Cairo, Sultan al-Ghuri Mausoleum was built between 1503 and 1505. The complex straddles both sides of al-Mu'izz Street, with the congregational mosque-madrasa built on the western side, and the khanqah-mausoleum-sabil-kuttab on the eastern side.
