The National Television Awards are an annual high profile British award show where the results are voted for by the general public and Framestore was selected to create the 2014 graphics package.
It's always a pleasure working with the Design team at Framestore and it was a delight fulfilling director Anthony Gibb's vision of a dynamic and explosive graphics package, whilst giving the evening a warm and inviting feeling.
Particle effects were created in Houdini and run through Nuke before being brought into After Effects to comp and add details.
The graphics package consisted of main titles, hero logo and broadcast elements such as transitions, straps, picture in picture boxes and additional titles.
Furthermore, graphics had to be purposefully repackaged and created for the stage screen, which this year was unconventionally in the shape of a semi circle.
As this live event was being held in London's O2 Arena we also created graphics for the 292m² cylinders screens outside the arena and the 160.5m long Arenamation screen inside.
