The Art Hive was a local artist collective from Des Moines Iowa that had various creative business and individuals from dancers to graffiti writers to graphic designers. Their goal was to teach, engage and reach out to as many different communities as possible by offering a variety of talents in the arts.
The logo needed to visually incorporate the spirit of different talents and creative minds working together to form a creative hive. The typography and color palette used in this logo are inspired by the 1960’s which birthed one of the most influential typefaces and design styles that shaped visual communication around us today.
