MONSTER JAM – MEGALODON 2KMETAL TEE
As a production designer at Feld Entertainment, my typical day to day isn't a very creatively demanding job which led me to seek this from others around departments that might have needed it. A colleague in the Monster Jam Brand team asked me to put something together that would sit well in a more grimey/grunge theme as well as fit within the MJ brand. A lot of my artwork style ranges all over the place but with this I knew I could center a lot of my grunge/grimey ideas towards something I grew up watching.
My initial ideas were to really centered around huge graphics, looking a lot at who we're trying to compete with at this moment as well as how we can use the vintage designs from our own past to help position us for our audience.
Seeing the bombastic and unorganized elements work together in a rare symphony, my objective here is to hit these same notes with my own flavours and spices. Taking important colours, elements and silhouettes that tell a unique yet compelling story while continuing to say "RRRRAAHAHHHH MONSTER JAMM!!!!"
