The Warrior Woman and Mother
Being women without being considered just mothers.
The feminist fight against the guilt of wishing to
conciliate everything was the theme we asked
Daniel Roseberry to elaborate for this dress made by
Schiaparelli maison. The hardness of the golden
armor sculpted on Chiara's breasts represents a
strength that doesn't need to imitate the male one to be
considered equal. While the satin slip dress is painted
blue because this color has always been associated
with the sacredness of maternity here represented as
the stereotype of the woman feeding a golden baby. Not
being considered only reproductive apparatuses is what
we need to fight for every single day!

The Human Rights' Dress
A long black velvet dress adorned with a necklace
shaped like a uterus and composed of different sections
of the female body is the symbol of the activism for
reproductive rights that we bring to Sanremo.
The dress and the piece of jewelry designed specifically
by Daniel Roseberry for Schiaparelli remind everyone
that reproductive rights are human rights. The access
to safe abortion and assisted reproduction is a matter
that concerns human rights and we can't give them
up. Because every human being, man or woman, must
be able to decide freely about their body. We must not
allow the fights won by our mothers to be fought by our
daughters too

Body Painting
The golden imprint of a woman's body impressed on
the blue of a column dress. The audacity of the artistic
and scandalous gesture of the artist Yves Klein inspired
the Schiaparelli look of the SS 2023, which according
to Daniel Roseberry was the perfect synthesis of
our Sanremo project. In the work of the French artist
women's bodies were liberated from their mannequin
stillness and called to imprint autonomously their
shapes on big white canvas to be painted blue.
Free your body and do what you want with it because
a woman's body is the highest masterpiece of creation

The Masculine Femininity
Many believe that women, if they want to be taken
seriously in certain fields, need to take on male
behaviors or need to dress like men to demonstrate
leadership skills. The pantsuit in black velvet, separated
by a corset embroidered with pearls that shape a set
of abs, aims to be a parody of this sexist stereotype.
A message to men who still believe in the narration
of having to "show the muscles" for women to be
defined as worthy of respect. Do not give up your
femininity because someone considers it a weakness,
because women's strength lies right there
