Fast, Cheap, and Out of Control

An exploration of perception, anthropomorphization, and how we perceive our own existence. After watching the film Fast, Cheap, and Out of Control, students were to draw a theme from the film and present it. The most poignant aspect of the film for me was how characters anthropomorphized the animals in their lives, deperately trying to see logic and reason in another being. To contest that, I created an installation in one of the hallways that projected the film on a thin fabric, while simultaneously projecting a live feed of people passing by onto the same image. While watching the film, viewers were confronted with their own image.
