Еhis project has quite a long history, back in 2020 I got the idea to create an illustration with a pomegranate, the grains of which would be something like minerals.

 

I planned to use this idea at the entrance exams to the Art Academy. But something went wrong and at the exam we were given a task: to create an illustration with the theme of insects.

That's when I created the image of the pomegranate spider. Despite the fact that spiders are not insects (I realized this after the job was done), I got a really high score for this illustration. 

Returning to the present, I decided to settle my idea and translate it into digital. I'm definitely happy with the result, I hope you like it as well!
