Throughout our last trip Ourense - Porto I had the opportunity to discover the abandoned towns that are found in the Province of Ourense, one of the most depopulated in Spain.

Ourese, despite being a place full of nature and culture, the industrialization and development of the country seriously affected rural areas, currently leaving more than 200 towns completely uninhabited and around 100 towns with a single resident, only in this province. . Converting the old population centers into places full of memories of those who one day had to leave. However, the human being is tireless and continues to promote the increase in the extension of large cities and population centers, thus causing an increase in the destruction of our environment, thus ignoring the footprint caused by the rural exodus.

It is important to note that this exodus was triggered by the needs of those residing in small towns. Needs that were never covered and that they had to look for in the big cities. These magical places have been part of the history of our country and today they are completely forgotten. Let's make visible the importance of the recovery of these historical places and remember that development does not imply destruction.
