Automotive CGI Render Challenge #42
There weren't really any rules set for us this time... just render the provided 3D car model.
My idea was to take a background image (stock photo), re-create the scene and lights in a very simple way and try to match everything without using any HDRI - something I have tested couple of times before, and I quite enjoyed the process.
I was mainly aiming for a result that would resemble to something from a Japanese car magazine from late 90's / early 00's.
Total of 40 individual lights were used, in 11 different colors + volumetric fog to give it more depth and glow.

I quite like it, came out much better than my previous attempt and I learned a thing or two.
The "Mid Night Club" sticker on the window is just something that resembles the original.
Post-production was done in Photoshop/Lightroom; some clarity was added and color corrections were made. Plus tweaks and fixes here and there to cover some of the mistakes I made.
I completely forgot to fix the red color burn/overexposure behind the car. I noticed it only after I had submitted my render. It is what it is.
