This is an object - type set product that was conducted as a winter vacation project for the second grade at the DOT university - union industrial design study. We wanted to try a different design from the existing products.

대학 연합 산업 디자인 스터디 The DOT에서 2학년 겨울방학 프로젝트로 진행한 오브제 형식의 세트 제품입니다. 특이한 컨셉을 정하여 기존 제품과 다른 디자인을 시도해보고자 하였습니다.

This is a wise saying from Jamaican singer-songwriter, Bob Marley. While we were searching for data to plan our project, we came across these words by chance and we started to think about the rain that was just cold to us. In such ‘rain’, we came to find a similarity to the act of ‘showering’ that we are so well accustomed to doing all the time. The shower is an act of washing the body in countless raindrops from the sky.

자메이카의 싱어송라이터 밥 말리의 명언입니다. 프로젝트를 기획하기 위해 이런 저런 자료들을 탐색하던 와중, 우연히 그의 명언을 접하게 되었고 그저 나에게 차갑기만 했던 '비'라는 것에 대해 다시 생각해보게 되었습니다. 그런 '비'에서 우리가 매번 행하던 '샤워'라는 행위와 유사점을 찾았습니다. 샤워라는 것은 마치 하늘에서 내리는 수없는 빗발에 몸을 씻기는 행위였습니다.

When we took a shower in the bathroom with such a thought. We were able to notice smaller details in the bathroom than usual. The shampoo, the rinse, and the containers were standing in the rain without an umbrella, they thought our shower looked like a rain shower. So, we thought of rain-related design products.

욕실에서 물을 맞으며 그런 생각을 하다 보니 평소에는 보이지 않았던 작은 물건들에게 눈이 가게 되었습니다. 저 샴푸, 린스 등의 용기들은 우산도 없이 비를 홀딱 맞고 서있는 것이었습니다. 그들에겐 우리의 샤워 비가 곧 소나기와 다름 없겠다는 생각을 하게 되었고, 그곳에서 비와 관련된 디자인의 용품들을 생각하게 되었습니다.

There is a “sequence” of washing. We likened this shower process to carrying an umbrella and passing through a rainy street. Through the materialization of the process. We tried to make the shower not just an act of wetting the body but of feeling the rain, walking the rainy street, and performing the process correctly.

씻는 행위에도 '순서'가 있습니다. 이러한 샤워 프로세스를 마치 우산을 쓰고 빗길을 지나가는 것에 비유했습니다. 프로세스의 구체화를 통하여 샤워가 단순 '몸을 적시는' 행위가 아닌 비를 느끼고 빗길을 걸어가며 프로세스를 올바르게 수행하는 행위로 느껴지게 하고자 했습니다.

1 - 4th process,

Walk a rainy road with an umbrella.

우산을 쓰고 빗길을 걷다.

Walk a rainy road with an umbrella. Walking through the rainy street, we have to open our umbrellas and hide under them. It is a set of four shampoos, conditioner, rinse, and body wash, a container with the motif of carrying umbrellas and avoiding the rain.

As you walk down the rainy street, various shapes of raindrops form beautifully on your umbrella. Inspired by such a figure, we designed the pump of the container with the appearance of an umbrella covered in raindrops. The number of these raindrops increased as the process progressed, making it easier to distinguish each container by touch in situations where you cannot see when you shower.

빗길을 걸어갈 땐 우리는 우산을 펴고 그 속으로 몸을 숨겨야 합니다. 우산을 쓰고 비를 피한다는 모티브의 샴푸, 컨디셔너, 린스, 바디워시 용기 4세트 입니다.

빗길을 지나가면 가지각색 다양한 모양의 빗방울들이 우산에 아름답게 맺힙니다. 그러한 모습에서 영감을 받아 우산에 방울이 맺힌 듯한 모습으로 용기의 펌프를 디자인 했습니다. 이러한 물방울의 개수가 프로세스의 진행에 따라 점점 늘어, 씻을 때 앞이 보이지 않는 상황에서도 촉각으로 각 용기를 쉽게 구별하여 사용할 수 있도록 했습니다.

5 - 6th process,

Once you have crossed the damp rainy street, let’s fold the umbrella and put it in the umbrella stand it is a body lotion and skin lotion container with a folded umbrella motif.

축축한 빗길을 다 건넜다면 이제 우산을 살포시 접어 우산꽂이에 넣어줍시다. 접은 우산 모티브의 바디 로션, 스킨 로션 용기입니다.
