Cliq is a medical brand specialized in making suction devices. Most portable aspirators on the market are made to be used in ambulances, which are usually very expensive. We wanted to design an aspirator with features suitable for homecare environment at an affordable price point.

 

 

 

 

We wanted a product that looks like it belongs to a home environment. A lot of concepts were inspired by houseware products like coffee makers, toasters, irons, and speakers.

 

 

 

 

A portable medical aspirator with simple user interface, easy-to-replace microbial filter that is to be installed outside of the device for maximum protection. Only one hose is needed to cut down disposable material used and to avoid confusion. Canister holder is nicely cushioned with medical silicone, and can fit most standard 800 to 1500ml canisters availiable on the market, so users can easily purchase a replacement if one breaks. Flat and smooth plastic housing allows easy cleaning. Handle lays flat for minimum storage space.
