The Witch / Illustrations / Mural
I'm glad to introduce the story of the magical transformation, drawn by me during the residence in Finland. A witch for me is a person who can change and transform reality. A person with creative abilities, able to see differently and show it to others, owing the special knowledge or possessing the secret spells. Sometimes there come times when witches are persecuted and forced to flee.
Finland is a very cozy, calm and natural country, it gave me the image of a magical forest where you can hide. I thought, what if in the Middle Ages, during the witch hunt, one of them found refuge in the Scandinavian forests, turning into a rock or a flower? What if now some of them have been resurrected as activists, artists bloggers, musicians and other contemporary secret cultists?
The Mural was realised in the mall Redi, Helsinki, Finland. Organised by Helsinki Urban Art.
