CARNIVORES UNITE
You heard me. Unite! There is a new boy on the block. Let's scam him, kidnap him, and make him wish he was never born. I wanted to capture the loneliness and isolation of a new guy on the block, hesitant and scared in the face of this new violent athmosphere he found himself in. I relate to him quite a bit, I felt exactly like this when I lived in Izmir/Turkey for a couple of months back in 2020. The whole city just seemed real frantic, dangerous, and the vibes were off a little. I don't know why. I was almost mugged a couple of times, missed the last subway then walked through dangerous parts of the city, had my heart broken, and other stuff. However, I also had good times too. I wanna visit there again just to re-live all of it. I made this inspired by a series of works I saw today made by Simon Åslund. His work was centered around shady deals in shady places, and scenes that resembled a frame out of a thriller movie.
